2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Officers Dagger by Paul Weyersberg.

Excellent condition 1937 pattern Luftwaffe officers dagger.
Desirable pumpkin orange solid trolon grip, tightly wrapped with aluminium springy wire. Lighter orange to the reverse where its been protected from UV.
There are two very old small hairline cracks to the top of the grip around 5-6mm long each. Doesn't detract at all and the grip is still solid.
The eagle and swastika crossguard is in excellent crisp condition and retains the majority of the original dark grey burnishing. Polished swastika.
Crisp pommel with hand enhanced details.
The blade is in excellent bright condition with only minor marks from use. No dents, kinks etc. The needle sharp tip is still evident.
Good clear Paul Weyersberg Solingen TM with a Waffenamt stamp below it.
The dark blue leather washer is still in place.
Tied round the grip is a 23cm Luftwaffe portepee with swing wear to part of the cord.
The airplane grey finished steel scabbard is in excellent condition and retains the majority of the original finish. Contrasting colour oakleaf scabbard bands.
No dents or damage.
Very nice dagger!
