1914 Iron Cross Second Class converted to a watch fob by BH Mayer mm M with 800 silver and enamel fob bars.
Excellent condition 1914 EKII by BH Mayer of Pforzheim that has been period converted to be used as a watch fob.
Early pre 1916 Cross with a government standard unmarked 938 grade silver frame and a black finished magnetic cast iron core.
Excellent finish.
Ribbon ring is stamped M for Mayer.
Original Imperial Iron Cross ribbon with added 800 marked silver watch fob bars.
The middle bar is 800 GR marked with a guilloché enamel centre and decorative enamel flowers. In the centre is mounted a red stone.
The top hand chased silver decorative bar has a spring loaded catch for attachment to an Albert chain. This is also 800 silver marked.
Patina to the silver parts.
Interestingly the original owner of the fob decided to wear the Cross with the 1813 side showing.
Not often you see an Iron Cross watch fob conversion!
