Rare 1939 Iron Cross Second Class by Robert Hauschild mm56
Excellent condition and super rare 1939 EKII by Robert Hauschild.
Silver plated neusilber frame with a black finished magnetic iron core.
The firm of Robert Hauschild in Pforzheim was only a small manufacturer of Iron Crosses and so therefore they are rarely seen today.
They utilised the S&L design frame and core and used 2 types of core (A Type and B Type), this example having the B Type.
Pleasing dark patina to the frame with the ribbed beading appearing to have a large portion of the original frosting intact.
Good core finish with crisp swastika and dates.
Ribbon ring has a clear 56 stamp.
Complete with a piece of worn original ribbon.
Very difficult to find maker marked Cross that's missing from most EKII collections.
