1939 War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords & Ostmedaille citation and medal set, Grenadier Regt.

Excellent condition KVKII & Russian Front citations awarded to a Obergefreiten Max Hummich of 3./ G.R.481. The KVKII doc is dated 1.9.43 and is ink signed by Generalleutnant Paul Danhauser (holder of the Knights Cross), Commanding General of 256 Infanterie Division (G.R.481 was part of 256 ID). Nice KVK representation printed on the doc. 256 Infanterie Division stamp.
Russian Front doc is dated 18th March 1944 and this time Max Hummich is now part of 1./G R.481. Signed in ink by Oberst Lang (holder of the Knights Cross and Honour Roll clasp).

Excellent condition unmarked bronze finished tombak KVKII with Swords, complete with ribbon. Pinned to the ribbon is a KVKII with attached Swords ribbon bar.
Superb condition Ostmedaille with silver frosted rim and helmet. Gun metal grey finish in excellent condition. Ribbon ring is stamped 20 (C.F.Zimmermann).
Complete with original ribbon.
Grenadier Regt 481 fought in Lithuania and the Kurland pocket.
Worthy of further research.
