German Cross in Gold mm20 light Zimmermann.

100% textbook light C.F.Zimmermann DKiG in excellent used condition. This piece is a vet bringback and is straight out of the woodwork and has never been in a collection.
The Cross retains the majority of its original finish and is a very attractive looking piece. The enamel has scratches indicative of having spent time on a tunic but most importantly it has no chips or repairs. The gold plated wreath retains most of its gold frosted finish with only slight wear to the highlights.
The red enamel disk has no damage. The silver frosted disk is also without damage but has some silver patina. The dark inner star again has most of its finish with only some loss on the highlights.
The silver outer star has a lot of its silver plating remaining again with some wear from being worn.
The textbook hinge, pin and catch is in full working order and is still very strong.
The underside of the pin is stamped with the maker mark of 20 for Zimmermann. measures 63mm and weight is 45.5 grams
The Cross is in superb used but not abused condition, just how collectors like them.
DKiGs are now getting seriously hard to acquire!
